USCrude Outlook: Market Sentiment and Key Events for the Next 30 Days

The following factors may affect the price of USCrude:

  • OPEC+ decision. On November 1, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq, Kuwait, Algeria, Kazakhstan, and Oman decided to keep their December production targets unchanged. This means the market will not receive additional oil supplies from the group over the coming month. At the same time, actual oil production in several countries remains below their established quotas due to voluntary production cuts agreed under OPEC+.
  • Conflict in the Middle East and the Strait of Hormuz. A significant share of global seaborne oil shipments passes through the Strait of Hormuz. Shipping restrictions, attacks on tankers and energy infrastructure, and the lack of an agreement between Washington and Tehran are keeping oil prices elevated.
  • EIA forecast. In its October report, the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) raised its forecast for the average Brent crude price in the fourth quarter of 2026 to $105 per barrel. The agency expects supply disruptions to persist, although alternative export routes and a production recovery will gradually increase supply.
  • Demand from China and the US. China remains the largest source of uncertainty regarding global oil demand. Slowing industrial production, weaker construction activity, and reduced refinery throughput could limit crude oil imports. In the US, key indicators will include gasoline and diesel consumption, refinery utilization rates, and overall economic conditions. Weak macroeconomic data will heighten concerns about slowing global demand and put downward pressure on oil prices.
  • US commercial crude oil inventories. Weekly reports from the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) will be an important reference point for short-term trading. Declining crude oil inventories amid strong exports and high refinery utilization will signal tight supply. Conversely, rising inventories will indicate weakening demand.
  • The US dollar and interest rates. At its October meeting, the Fed kept interest rates unchanged at 3.75–4.00%. A strong US dollar and high borrowing costs could limit demand for commodities. A deterioration in the global economic outlook would be another negative factor, as it could reduce consumption of fuel and industrial raw materials.
  • November 4 — October ADP nonfarm employment change, October services PMI, October ISM Non-Manufacturing Employment Index.
  • November 6 — October nonfarm payrolls, US unemployment rate, preliminary University of Michigan inflation expectations for November, Baker Hughes Total Rig Count in the US.
  • November 10 — Consumer Price Index (CPI) for October.
  • November 13 — Producer Price Index (PPI) for October.
  • November 16 — Empire State Manufacturing Index for November.
  • November 17 — Industrial production data for October.
