The AFE request

The footballers’ union has formally addressed LaLiga and the RFEF to request the suspension of competitions. For the AFEthe death of Jesus of Michael supposes “an irreparable blow for the entire football family” and consider that ““There are times when football must stop.”

Despite continuing with the day, LaLiga and the Federation have communicated their intention to make a great tribute to Jesus of Michael in all stadiums this weekend. It is expected that the details of these events will be officially communicated soon.

The Copa del Rey, also postponed

This decision to maintain the day of LaLiga arrives after the RFEF already decided this Tuesday to suspend the matches of the first round of the King’s Cup and of the Queen’s Cup that were going to be played this week. In addition, hundreds of people have gathered at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López to say goodbye to the footballer.
