Indian equities posted a fourth consecutive advance on Tuesday, with the Nifty 50 adding 1.58% to 23,810.85 and the Sensex rising 1.62% to 76,917.85. Across the four-session run, both measures have climbed roughly 5%, reaching their strongest closing levels in two months. Business Recorder reported that corporate results and signs of renewed overseas buying supported the move, while 13 of 16 major industry groups ended higher.

Smaller companies also gained, with mid-caps up 1.1% and small-caps advancing 0.3%. Brent crude, after dropping 7% in the prior session, recovered 1% to $106 a barrel as traders followed Iran-related discussions and events near Qeshm island. Overseas portfolio funds purchased Indian shares in four of the last five sessions, while HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank rose 3.6% and 2.7%; private lenders helped lead the market. The report also noted Marico’s 10% jump after quarterly profit exceeded estimates, and said investors were watching taxation, oil, US elections and the AI trade.
