Alright, folks, let’s take a look at the local outdoor picture. We’ve got a generally settled, mild period ahead with a bit of unsettled weather to start, a nice long dry spell in the middle, and then a return to shower activity as we head into next week.
This Wednesday morning is looking beautiful with clear skies and a mild start around 18°. A light south-southwest breeze at 5 km/h will keep things comfortable. This afternoon, it warms up to a lovely 20° under mostly sunny skies, with a slightly stronger westerly breeze picking up to 15 km/h. Overnight, some clouds roll in, but it stays dry.
Now into Thursday, we start with a few morning clouds and temperatures near 19°. But watch out for the afternoon – a few rain showers are possible, driven by a light southeasterly wind at 5 km/h, and temperatures will be around 20°, feeling a touch cooler. Thursday night clears up nicely.
Friday looks mostly cloudy, especially by the afternoon. Friday night, we see some light rain moving in as the wind shifts to the northeast at 10 km/h, with lows dipping to 14°.
Saturday looks like our wettest day. We have a persistent chance of rain showers in the morning, and then light rain continues through the afternoon and into the night. The low on Saturday night will be 13°, with winds light from the southeast.
Sunday continues with rain showers in the morning and afternoon, and the overnight low will drop to 12° with a westerly breeze at 10 km/h. The highest temperature we’ll see this whole stretch is Wednesday’s afternoon high of 20°, while the lowest so far is Saturday night’s 13°.
By Monday, the 9th of November, we clear out wonderfully. A crisp morning at 14° gives way to a sunny afternoon with a high of 15°. The overnight low drops to 11° – the coolest night yet.
The middle of next week, from Tuesday the 10th through Thursday the 13th, looks absolutely beautiful. Mostly clear skies, light winds, and daytime highs running from 14° on Tuesday up to 17° on Thursday afternoon. The coldest moment of the entire forecast will likely be Tuesday night, the 10th, when we bottom out at 12° under clear, calm skies.
Friday the 13th and Saturday the 14th stay dry, though Friday is mostly cloudy and Saturday clears back up. Highs will sit right around 16° to 17°. Sunday the 15th brings increasing clouds but still dry, with a high near 16°.
Now, as we look into the third week, our uncertainty goes up, but things may get a little more unsettled. On Monday the 16th, expect a mix of sun and clouds with highs around 15°. Then on Tuesday the 17th, rain showers return to the forecast, especially by afternoon and night. The wind picks up out of the northwest at 10 km/h Tuesday night, and temperatures take a tumble, with a low of 10° – the coolest we’ve seen so far.
Finally, on Wednesday the 18th, it clears up again, but it will be noticeably cooler. A morning low of 11° and an afternoon high of just 13°. The following Thursday, the 19th, keeps some clouds around but looks dry, with a high near 14°.
All in all, a classic November pattern: a little rain early on, a golden stretch of calm, clear days, and then a return to showery and cooler weather heading into the end of next week. Keep the umbrella handy for Saturday and next Tuesday.
