This week, we learn that collaborations are improving how businesses operate and how inefficiencies can be drastically reduced.
Descartes Systems Group announced the integration of its Descartes MacroPoint Advanced Ocean Visibility solution with SAP Business Network Freight Collaboration and SAP Business Network Global Track and Trace. As a result, real-time visibility is achieved.
In other news, Profitmind has leveled up competitive intelligence with Profitmind Awase. This groundbreaking tech reconciles product listings at scale across massive and fast-changing catalog assortments. Mind blown.
Profitmind’s new product-matching platform
Agentic AI decision intelligence platform Profitmind announced on Tuesday the general availability of Profitmind Awase, a new product-matching model designed to expand competitive intelligence for retailers by matching identical products across competing online catalogs without relying on shared barcodes or product codes.
Operating in production since April 2026 with fewer than 1 percent of surfaced matches rejected by retail merchandising teams, Awase analyzes product photography, descriptions and technical specifications together. This lets retailers reliably track pricing, assortment and marketing trends even in categories like fashion where identifiers are typically inconsistent or missing.
The model addresses a long-standing industry challenge: reconciling product listings at scale across massive, fast-changing catalog assortments. Trained and tested on more than 200 million products using 7 million labeled product pairs from retail merchandisers, Awase evaluates items at a detail level that mirrors human expertise. In benchmark testing against nine competing models, Awase achieved an 87.3 percent first-attempt accuracy rate on live retail assortments without product identifiers. It outperformed the top retail-specific alternative by generating 61 percent fewer first-attempt errors.
The expanded visibility allows retail teams to identify whitespace gaps, track promotional activity, and maintain consistent internal product data. “Retailers spend a significant amount of their time trying to understand how they compare to their key competitors,” said Dr. Mark Chrystal, CEO and co-founder of Profitmind. “Merchants often need competitive insights across categories where product identifiers may be missing, inconsistent, or unreliable. Profitmind Awase evaluates the product itself, comparing each product at the detail level of an experienced merchant, so retailers can automate competitive analysis across most of their catalog.”
Descartes Systems Group solution integrates with SAP
Descartes Systems Group announced the integration of its Descartes MacroPoint Advanced Ocean Visibility solution with SAP Business Network Freight Collaboration and SAP Business Network Global Track and Trace. Delivered via a standardized connection to the Descartes Global Logistics Network (Descartes GLN), the combined solution provides near real-time container-level tracking for departures, arrivals, loading event and gate movements inside existing SAP transportation workflows.
By leveraging standardized APIs and harmonized data models, the platform gives shippers a unified visibility experience across ocean and road transportation modes, creating a reliable foundation for supply chain analytics, automation and AI-driven innovations.
The expanded partnership builds upon Descartes’ existing GLN connection with SAP, allowing businesses to improve operational agility and planning amid ongoing global logistics challenges.
“As supply chains become increasingly global, multimodal and disruption-prone, organizations require more timely and consistent visibility across transportation modes to improve planning and execution,” said Dan Cicerchi, executive vice president, corporate and operations development at Descartes. “By bringing our ocean visibility data directly into SAP’s leading transportation platforms from the Descartes GLN, shippers can gain a more complete view of global shipments, improve operational responsiveness and strengthen supply chain resilience.”
URBN expands deployment of Bamboo Rose solution
Bamboo Rose said that global lifestyle company URBN is expanding its deployment of AI-Native TotalPLM with Create, powered by VibeIQ, and enhanced with Decision Intelligence. The expansion equips design and merchandising teams across URBN’s portfolio—including Anthropologie, Free People, FP Movement, Urban Outfitters, Nuly and Terrain—with visibility into estimated product costs at the concept stage, before physical samples are produced or suppliers are engaged.
By providing early cost visibility as concepts take shape, the platform helps URBN evaluate margin potential, weigh trade-offs, and move approved concepts straight into development without rekeying data, mitigating risks from changing tariffs, sourcing pressures and costly redesigns.
“Bringing our design and development workflows together on one platform allows everyone to act on the same information in real time,” said Dan Stockbridge, director of production and sourcing systems at URBN. “Bamboo Rose helps us simplify our day-to-day workflow and see costs earlier, so our teams can move faster and spend more time focused on great design.”
ETAM Group taps Commercetools
Digital commerce AI company Commercetools recently announced a strategic partnership with French fashion retailer ETAM Group to modernize its digital commerce infrastructure across core brands, including ETAM, Maison 123 and Undiz. Following an eight-week MVP developed by ETAM’s Digital Factory that showed a 70–80 percent boost in development velocity using Commercetools Sphere alongside Algolia and Contentstack, the group said it is replacing its legacy platform with Commercetools’ API-native architecture.
Led by ETAM’s internal engineering team with support from AI-assisted development tools, the modern tech stack will simplify operations, give individual brands greater autonomy and streamline international growth while preserving a unified foundation for future AI-driven and omnichannel commerce.
“From the outset, our work with Commercetools has been about more than replacing technology. We’re building a commerce foundation that gives our teams greater speed and our brands more freedom to innovate,” said Sébastien Ribeil, head of digital factory at ETAM Group. “The progress we made together in just eight weeks demonstrated what this approach can unlock, significantly increasing development velocity and giving us a way forward in how we can continue to evolve and grow. Just as importantly, it opens the door to new omnichannel experiences, a strategic priority for ETAM Group in the years ahead.”
Glance now integrates with Lenovo
Glance announced an integration with Lenovo to bring its AI-powered shopping platform to supported Lenovo PCs, tablets, and Motorola smartphones through Lenovo Qira and Motorola Qira. Drawing on real-time inventory from more than 400 brands and over 15 million products, Glance supports product discovery, styling, and shoppable recommendations within the Qira ecosystem. When users make a shopping request through the Personal AI system, Glance enables them to browse and compare curated recommendations inside the chat experience before directing them to the retailer’s site for checkout.
The partnership marks Glance’s first expansion into the PC market, extending its reach beyond mobile and connected television platforms. The collaboration leverages Lenovo and Motorola Qira’s open ecosystem architecture to turn user intent into context-aware commerce experiences while maintaining user privacy and control.
“Shopping is becoming one of the clearest ways AI can turn a person’s intent into something useful,” said Naveen Tewari, founder and CEO of InMobi and Glance. “Our collaboration with Lenovo brings Glance’s shopping intelligence into Lenovo Qira and Motorola Qira, helping people move from an idea to products and styles that feel right for them. Expanding to PCs for the first time is an important step toward making personal, intelligent shopping available across the devices people use every day.”
Worldly Says Partner Error Exposed Users’ Contact Information
Sustainability data platform Worldly said a misconfigured integration at a partner organization allowed one of the partner’s users to view some Worldly users’ names and business email addresses.
“This was not a breach of Worldly’s platform and not a cyberattack,” the company told Sourcing Journal. “No passwords or credentials were involved.”
Worldly described the information as visible to a partner’s user without specifying whether it was downloaded. The platform said it corrected the issue the same day it was identified, deleted the information and notified affected users.
“The matter is resolved,” the company said.
Worldly provides sustainability data and analytics services to apparel brands, retailers and suppliers. Its platform supports the Higg Index assessment tools developed by Cascale, including those used to evaluate environmental and social performance at manufacturing facilities.
Worldly’s statement did not identify the partner, specify how many users were affected or provide dates for the exposure, discovery and user notifications. It also did not address whether factory assessments, supplier performance records or other sustainability data were accessed.
